Sunny Strader is an American artist whose work explores dreams, spirituality, systemic oppression, and the millennial condition. Born in Danville, Illinois, she now lives and works in Los Angeles.
Her work has been exhibited in group shows at Contemporary Calgary, Canada; Houston Center for Photography, Texas; the Singapore International Photography Festival; and House of Lucie, Los Angeles. She has had solo shows at the Danville Art League, Illinois; Hot Shot Muffler Garage, Los Angeles; and currently is involved in a two-person show at the the Sortland Museum in Norway.
Interviews with Sunny have appeared in Strange Fire Collective, LenSCRATCH, and Aint-Bad. Awards include the Magenta Flash Forward prize, and a spot on ARTPIL's 30 Under 30 Women Photographers list. Her self-published zine, 'Charlotte by Sunny' was a finalist for the Lucie Photo Book Prize in 2019.
