I am a self-taught artist and photographer based in Cologne, Germany, working primarily with square medium format film. I take photographs in order to see.
I am drawn to fleeting impressions and atmospheres. I allow my attention to drift without knowing exactly what I am looking for. Photography is my way of giving form to this experience.
I have published my first handmade photo book "Das Jahr der Eidechse" (The Year of the Lizard) in a small limited edition. The book was shortlisted for the Photobook Prize of Encontros da Imagem 2020. My recent handmade book, "halbe see", which I am making currently in a small edition, was shortlisted for the Athens Photo Festival Dummy Award (APhF:26) in 2026.
