Sylvia Freeman is a photographer, writer and singer/songwriter for fleur-de-lisa, a women’s acapella quartet who use poetry lyrics in their original music. Her photos can be found in When Women Waken, Dove Tales, Heron’s Nest and the online gallery Fusion Art. Her poetry has been published in When Women Waken, Carolina Woman, The Lake and others. She was a finalist in the 2017 Randall Jarrell contest. Her fiction has been published by Conclave: a Journal of Character. She has a degree in Literature and Art History with a minor in studio art. She lives in Durham, North Carolina.
