Tasha Orlova (1989 b.) studies photography (BA) in Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam.
In her recent works Tasha explores personal and collective memory and traumas and their correlation to the architecture of public spaces. Through own lived experiences and history narrative (for ex, in history books or through oral stories) she tries to track back how the history is narrated and how this narrative supports existing political system and power. Interested in correlation between the personal and political.
Born in Vitebsk, Belarus. Now based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
