Tayebeh Fakhr is a photographer who was born and raised in Tehran by a family who appreciated art in many forms. Her father, a psychiatrist and hobby photographer, was an early influence and Tayebeh’s career has mirrored his in many ways.
After earning her Master's Degree in Psychology and Education, Tayebeh spent several years as a Psychologist and Educational Planner. She and her husband eventually migrated to Australia and resided in Victoria's countryside. The beautiful scenery was awe-inspiring and her love of photography was born.
In 2011, Tayebeh moved to Melbourne and enrolled in Photography Studies College. Tayebeh acquired a considerable knowledge of the classic fundamentals of lighting, as well as the technological skills which are required to create innovative images. Her ambition is to candidly represent the individual scene with amazing technique and Tayebeh’s unique skills were honoured in 2014 with a Silver Award at AIPP and continued in 2015 with a Gold Award and two Silver Distinction Awards at VPPY.
She is currently based in Melbourne and is pursuing her interest for still-life, food and travel photography, while exploring an artistic passion for fine art portraits. Tayebeh’s mission is to treasure the beauty she can see while exploring uncommon ideas and producing distinctive art.
