T. J. Hankins is an award-winning photographer who lives and works in Redding, CA. Born in Grants Pass, Oregon, Hankins completed his photography education at the Glen Fishback School of Photography in Sacramento, CA.
Hankins owned and operated a small product photography studio in Rohnert Park, CA for 17 years before joining The Petaluma Argus-Courier, in Petaluma, CA as Photo Editor in 2003. During his stint in photojournalism, he was also co-owner of Looking Glass Images, a Petaluma portrait studio, from 2007 - 2012. He now devotes his time exclusively to fine art photography.
Hankins has won numerous photography awards throughout his 30-year career, and has been shown widely, with recent exhibitions at the Petaluma Historical Museum, the Herold Mahoney Gallery and the Artisans Gallery. His work has been featured in select group exhibitions as well.
He is currently represented by The Vault Gallery in Cambria, CA, and the Thomas Lee Gallery in Ashland, OR. His work can be found in private collections across the country.
