I'm a street photographer based in Hyderabad, India. I started my creative journey as a teenage singer/songwriter. Once I discovered photography in my 30s, I realized that songwriting limited me to my own experiences while photography allowed me to capture experiences and emotions outside myself. Hyderabad plays a big role in my photography primarily because I've spent nearly all my life here. I am inspired daily by the Hyderabadi melting pot of ethnicities, languages and religions. Every neighbourhood here, from the British cantonment of Secunderabad, where Winston Churchill once lived, to the utterly fascinating Old City to the high tech world of Gachibowli, is a smorgasbord of unbelievable diversity. I hope to convey some of my fascination for the people of my amazing hometown through my images of daily life here.
