I was born in the dawn of 1974 in Luanda, Angola, and my family moved to Portugal the following year, eventually settling in the Alentejo, in Évora. It was in this city that I studied, entered the job market and completed my higher education in economics. In 2018 I decided to move to Romania where I now live.
Photography appeared relatively late in my life, and I believe that it is the need to know and interpret the world that drove me into it. Concerns about the daily life, social exclusion, interactions and culture of peoples occupy top places in my interest. I like raw, intense and provocative forms. This disposition, sometimes hunted in documentary fashion, also comes from my father, journalist and man with a humanist dimension.
A friend of mine said about me that my photographic vocation is „to share with simplicity the complexity I see in the world.”
