My interest in photography initially focused primarily on analog lab work and experimental attempts to create surreal picture landscapes. Later, my interests advanced to include more people in my photography work and finally I discovered street-photography and documentary-photography for myself.
Currently i am studying photography at CEPV in Vevey, Switzerland.
In my body of work I want to deal with the themes of exile and habitat. For some years now I have been exploring my own roots and origins. Always guided by my reflections on rootlessness and rootedness in other places or on how belonging and attachment to a territory is unraveled or created in a constant change, the photographic portrait allows me to create a feeling of strangeness or familiarity between model and viewer. This ambiguity refers to the perception of others as exotic territory or, on the contrary, as a being similar to a mirror of oneself.
