He has learned how to compose through the camera lens after spending a little over 45 years as an art director, graphic designer, and creative director. He brings an art director's point of view in developing his own photography skills. He believes that the "art of vision is listening with your eyes." He's talking about REALLY listening to what the subject has to say, always asking, "What made you stop and look, to begin with?" Thus, he has devoted the past 15+ years learning and honing the craft of photography.
He has instructed advertising and photography classes at O'More College of Design (Currently Belmont University) Franklin, Tennessee, and was also a member of their Advisory Board of Visual Comm.
