My name is Tressa Pool R. I am a photographer and painter living in Berlin. My principal genres are portrait studies, landscapes, and interiors. Most photographs I make are counterpart studies to drawings, which together might later form the basis of a painting. I work with analogue photography producing silver gelatin prints in the darkroom. Some influences include surrealism - Man Ray, Maurice Tabard, Roland Penrose; 20th century painters like Giacometti, Hans Bellmer and Graham Sutherland; and photographers such as Araki, Callahan, and Jürgen Teller.
