Born in Roubaix, Valérie Six grew up in the North of France and Paris before moving to Bordeaux in 2015. Attracted by the oriental civilizations, she studied Chinese and made a career in the field of international development before discovering a passion for photography on the occasion of a trip to Dubai in 2012.
Two years later, she was taking classes at "Gobelins, Ecole de l'image" school in France and starting a new life as an independent photographer in Bordeaux.
The numerous trips made during her professional life naturally brought her towards the cities and peri-urban areas that she constantly paces since then, in search of this precious alchemy between beauty, sense and emotion.
She loves to compose with contrasted lines, colors and lights to capture street scenes or details that depict our modern life.
Some of the pictures she made during workshops were exhibited in Bordeaux and Arles during the "Rencontres d'arles", as well as in housing units designed by Le Corbusier in Marseille, Briey, Rezé, following the competition "Regards sur Le Corbusier" in 2016.
Her photos are also regularly taken over by street photography sites on Instagram.
