About Vancon Laetitia
There is moment in life which makes you take a significant curve. For me it was the loss of a loved one, Olivier. I was 26 years old.
At first it ruined a lot, but the path to heal was worth it. It made me jump out of the path that I was blindy following for many years (long study to become engineer chemist and then working as a manager for 6 years in a company which proceed frangrances and flavors), and woke me up to the fact I was and I am not probably willing to fit totally to the conventional expectations.
Photography has been an important part of this healing process.
It started 5 years ago, in the beginning as a diary, and then as a therapy would do, I use it to remember, observe, listen, and question, which helped me to reconnect with myself and my surrounding.
Slowly it become a crucial tool to express myself, and interrogate the human beeing. Having concluded studies at the Danish Photojournalism School in Aarhus, specialising in Visual Storytelling in May 2014, I attempt to find more personal and interactive approaches to narration, searching for a delicate balance between a poetic & journalistic approach.
The human being, its consideration, its integration in a society, and its internal revolution to define its identity, are my principal interests.
