Moscow based artist born in Siberia (Russia). Have been actively engaged in photography since 2016. Use both digital and film cameras, prefer analog shooting in natural light.
I assign an important role to the economy of narration in both visual and meaningful senses, leaving to the viewer a space for imaginative perception. Great importance I attach to the shooting space, often making the landscape a separate character.
I often turn to the topic of boundaries – physical and mental: dividing communities, individuals, personal and public, past and present, possible and impossible. I'm also interested in what it means to live without belonging to any of the parties separated by the border.
