Born in 1980, Véronique L’Hoste lives and works in Metz (Fr).
She graduated from the Art School of Lorraine in 2004. She has followed the teaching of Jean-Luc Tartarin there. She studied multimedia (Toulouse II) to work then in the field of the advertising communication. Very fast, she turns to the teaching of the photography and applied arts. She’s member founder of collective Dissidence (2017).
Photographer, she explores the themes of the portrait, the performance and the landscape. Through the construction of image, the color and the fabrication, she attempts to induce the incongruous. She thinks about the notion of identity, the human condition, the cycle of Life and the Death.
Since 2009, her work was seen, published or exposed by Tongue Magazine, Art and Culture (Mexico), LensCulture, Impressa Mag (Berlin), Gup Magazine (Amsterdam), Millennium Images (London), Sleepless night 2 (Metz, Fr), 16th International Biennial of the Image (Nancy, Fr), Gallery Artaban (Paris), the 25th festival of the Photographers Travelers (Bordeaux, Fr), 11th meet film of Cerbère-Portbou (Fr), Athens Festival Photo, festival of Angoulême (Fr), Photonic Moments - Month of Photography festival (Ljubljana, Sl) and to the French Institute of Athens (Athens Festival Photo 2017).
Publication of her first photographic edition Cycle in March, 2017 (presented to the Fanzine Photo FUNZILLA FEST on 2017 in Rome and in the book’s award in the Meetings of Arles 2017).
