I am a British journalist and photographer based in Lusaka, Zambia, where I have lived for 14 years. Before that, I was a financial journalist in London. I have travelled all over Southern Africa for my work, always with a camera in tow. More recently, I have been rediscovering the joys - and frustrations - of analogue photography, and have set up a darkroom in my studio in Lusaka, where I process my own film and prints. I am enjoying the slowness of film photography. It makes me think more carefully about what pictures I want to take and adds another creative layer to photography.
