Viktoria Chikalo (b.1988, Ukraine) is a London-based photographer and visual artist. She came to London in 2022 due to the full scale invasion. She works in editorial, commercial, documentary and fine art photography, but spends most of her time shooting for her ongoing personal work.
Viktoria contributes to publications such as the British Journal of Photography, The Times, The Guardian, Independent, Bluecoat Press, ELLE China, the British news media, etc.
In her practice, she focuses on the inherent intimacy of portraiture and visual storytelling, creating a complex, soulful interpretation of the world. Her ongoing personal work explores themes of human existence and connection, and involves people that were affected by the full scale invasion of Ukraine.
