I am a Fine Art Photographer, with more than 20 years of experience based in New
York City. Photography and art have been an important part of my life since I was a child and was stopped dead in my tracks by Ansel Adams’ photo of the Grand Tetons and Snake River, and was further cemented when I discovered Robert Mapplethorpe, during the NEA controversy in 1989. These two artists and the glory of photography in National Geographic Magazine cemented me as a passionate consumer of the medium, and inspired me to take my own photos. These days, the most important thing regarding photography is that the photos that I take bring me joy, and serve as memories of light.
