I'm a non-commercial fine art & portrait photographer. I used to think I could record every moment in my life just by my eyes and keep them in my memory. But as I grow up, I find that things do fade away, and what left is only a touch of blue. That was the point when I started to take photos, to freeze those moments. Later I find that what I seek from photography is not just merely the life documentary or the real world landscapes. Instead, I’m eager to tell stories, to express emotions that are buried deeply in my heart. Because of that, I see my photos as paintings, not necessarily to be real. But I hope that when people see my photos, somewhere in their heart will be touched.
Apart from living as a photographer, I’m also a painter who draws and paints. To me, drawing, painting and photography are just media that I use to present my philosophy. I see the world in my own way, feel it, and translate my feelings into visual components on papers, canvases, or photos. Normally I don’t constrain myself into a particular art medium, I would choose whichever best present my ideas.
