Fine art diploma at RMIT.
Designer and scenery painter for television, film, theatre and advertising.
First bought a camera in 1978 when my partner and I travelled overland from London to Shri Lanka, I still have this camera, it's a 35mm Ricoh 500 G with a Rikenon 40 mm 2.8 lens. Then a Minolta SRT 101with various lenses.
My first digital camera was a Sony F 707 which was nice but small pixel count and a very difficult zoom. Then a high quality Sony pocket camera also with a difficult zoom, replaced with a Nikon.
After that came a Canon 400D with what became my favourite travel lens the Tamron 18 to 270 Piezo drive zoom lens.
Then came a second hand Canon 5D Mark 2 which became my studio camera, and about a year ago I added the Canon 7D mark 2 that I use a lot out doors.
I am also an artist and I paint.
All my street photography is candid. I try to capture actual happening situations and I will be exhibiting several varied bodies of work in the near future.
