I began my love affair with photography at the age of 15 when my father gave me his old Canon AE-1. Since the day that it landed in my hands I have been pushing myself to progress my image making skills.
At the age of 23 I find myself a sliver away from graduation and in love with alternative process photography. As stated above my first camera was a 35mm camera, I loved shooting something so tangible. But as technology progressed I was pushed to purchase a dSLR. I stayed digital for years but I felt unsatisfied. I soon went back to shooting with film as many of my generation have. In my sophomore year of my education I took an alternative process course in cyanotypes and fell in love with a process so pure and beautiful.
From this discovery I began processing almost all of my work in cyanotype, 35mm or 120 film through various cameras. These processes have given me the soft pictorialist tones that I have been in search of for years.
