I grew up in Istanbul, a breathing and evolving metropole with lots to discover. Though, I spent a big portion of my life in Izmir, near the Aegean Sea. Water, a crucial element of both cities and of my life, has always been my biggest inspiration and reminder that change and rhythm is the essence of life.
I am currently in Providence, studying open media at Rhode Island School of Design in Film/Animation/Video department. Moving to the other corner of the world has been a big journey still ongoing, and I have explored many new things and made new friends with whom I have both different and yet very similar experiences.
I usually don't write my own stories but I am a good listener and I aspire to be a good storyteller. Psychology, handcrafts, workers and social/urban issues has been a reoccurring theme in my student work and I guess those are the type of stories that I am naturally drawn towards.
