Zeynep Tokgöz is a street photographer based in Istanbul. She has worked for many years in the retail sector, specializing in visual merchandising and spatial planning. Her long-standing engagement with books, music, cinema, and various artistic disciplines gradually led her toward the narrative power of photography.
In her work, she focuses on people, places, and the silent relationship between them. She explores chance encounters, fleeting moments, and invisible connections that emerge within the everyday flow of urban life. Rather than seeing street photography merely as a documentary practice, she regards it as a form of observation through which to understand the rhythm of life and the layers of human experience.
Her photographs aim to reveal the loneliness within the crowd, the stillness within movement, and the poetic quality hidden in seemingly ordinary moments.
