Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Carol Körting worked as a freelance photographer before studying photo editing at the Ostkreuz Schule für Fotografie in Berlin, Germany. She has served as photo editor for the renowned Leica Fotografie International Magazine (LFI) and its online platform for over a decade, during which time she has produced and edited countless photographic projects.

As a professional portfolio reviewer, Körting was part of a team of jurors at numerous photography competitions. In addition, she gives talks, workshops and presentations on photo editing.

James Wellford is currently a Senior Photo Editor for Global Issues at National Geographic in Washington, DC. In the course of his career he has been the Editorial Director at Visura and a contributing photo editor at Foreign Policy, CNN, and Smithsonian Journeys; for 12 years he was the International Photo Editor at Newsweek.

A seasoned visual storyteller, journalist, and producer; James is an international educator, speaker, and mentor for young emerging photographers and visual journalists. He has served as a jury member for the Magnum Emergency Fund, the Tim Hetherington Trust Award, the PhotoPhilanthropy Awards, Visa Pour L’image, the Aperture Paris PhotoBook Award, and the Overseas Press Club and was a member of the 2012 World Press Masterclass in Amsterdam. He is on the advisory board of the Photobook Museum and the Social Documentary Network and is the co-founder of ScreenProjects, an organization working on ways to create, support, and deliver powerful visual and narrative stories around the world.

Sandy Ciric is the Director of Photography at Getty Images News for the Americas, where she coordinates coverage for Getty’s news wire service. Prior to her work at Getty Images, Sandy held various positions at the Gamma Liaison photo agency. Sandy also consults on book projects and exhibitions. She is a co-editor of Testament, a collection of the work of the late photojournalist Chris Hondros, and the photo editor of John Moore’s book Undocumented: Immigration and the Militarization of the United States-Mexico Border. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Elena Boille is deputy editor and senior photo editor of the Italian news magazine Internazionale. Boille studied history of art at La Sapienza, University of Rome, and in 1993 she co-founded Internazionale. She’s in charge of the photo desk and of the science pages of the magazine. She has served as juror on multiple awards and reviews.

Internazionale is a weekly magazine that selects and translates the best journalistic stories from around the world and brings them to an Italian-speaking audience. Since 2010, Manolis Moresopoulos has been the artistic director of the Athens Photo Festival, a leading international festival of photography and visual culture. In and beyond this role, Manolis has been responsible for numerous exhibitions and photography-related activities, including book projects, learning activities, artist exchange programs, and talent development initiatives. Over the past few years he has served as nominator, juror and reviewer for many international festivals and organisations, and regularly lectures on the theory and practice of photography. Laura Sackett is the creative director and co-founder of LensCulture, one of the leading sites committed to discovering and publishing the best in the contemporary photography. She leads all aspects of design including strategy, brand, website, print, communications, screenings and exhibitions.
