About Christoph Kunze

In my main job I am a neuropsychologist and psychotherapist. Since 1973 I have been self-taught and semi-professional in photography; I still master the analog negative and positive development. But now mostly work digitally. The desire for my photographs to reveal a more personal, subjective interpretation of the subject grew. The intention to express the new, the independent, the generalized and the abstract is now in the foreground. Design aspects are of course indispensable both in the staging, in the process of photography as well as the processing and editing of the image or parts thereof (including COREL - Photopaint; ADOBE-Photoshop). I try to work as authentically as possible and only use my own photographic material in all my work. Over time, the natural landscape or parts of it, also as a still life, became the defining object of my artistic work. Nature seems animated to me and I would like to work out this fragile magic in my pictures. (www.ckfa.de) Since 2013, I have had national personal exhibitions on a regular basis or have participated in group exhibitions. I also work photojournalist for regional print media. Prophoto - Photo competition of the print u. Online media 2019 - shortlist for the Bundesausscheid . Nomination at the 8th FAPA (Fine Art Photography Award) in the category "Abstract" . Lensculture image publikation ( Editor Pick ) 2022 und 2024
I am a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Sachsen-Anhalt.
