Rachel Girard Reisert is an artist and educator working in Ohio, USA. Her creative work combines historic and digital photographic processes to address the qualities of impermanence, transformation, and magic inherent in the photographic medium. For the past twenty years she has taught all levels of photography at local universities, and currently serves as Interim Assistant Professor and Head of Photography at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Reisert has exhibited internationally including, Canada, Italy and Hungary and received a 2021 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award. She holds a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design, and an MFA in photography from Arizona State University.
