Akemi has been enchanted with the magic of photography since her father built a darkroom in the garage when she was a teenager.
Her interest in the arts notwithstanding, she went on to get her doctorate in physical therapy. After over thirteen years in the healthcare system, she has decided it is time to move on.
She believes it is just as healing to the soul to take beautiful pictures as it is to take care of the physical body.
She loves to take pictures of people, whether it's portraits, candids, events, or just friends. Capturing happiness brings her joy.
