I am a Helsinki-based documentary photographer. In 2016 I was awarded The Young Nordic Photographer of the Year, which earned me a solo exhibition at Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm. The same year I also received the Press Photograph of the Year and the Reportage of the Year awards in Finland. Last year I was awarded as a Photo Journalist of the year in Finland.
As a photojournalist I work on international assignments, and my work has been featured in Der Spiegel, Aftenposten and Helsingin Sanomat and many others. My way of doing documentary photography has led me to work on photographic essays such as The Same New Pet (2016) in which I predominantly discusses my personal interest in the curiosity of mankind.
