Albert is a Dutch photographer based in Asia. Albert graduated with a BA degree from the Royal College of Arts in The Hague, the Netherlands. He started in 1990 at the renowned Studio Dumbar in the Netherlands before moving to Asia. A former creative director at Ogilvy in Singapore, Albert founded LSD Corporation in 2006, an independent design studio in Singapore, engaging in a ten-year work relationship with the National Museum of Singapore. Traveling on a motorcycle through rural Laos, he developed a great interest in photography. In 2015, as an assigned photographer, he joined the Elephant Caravan, organized by the Elephant Conservation Center in Sayaboury, Laos. The 400-kilometer journey on foot, with 20 elephants, through Northern Laos, emphasized the plight of the Lao elephant and their mahouts. In 2018, “Le Marché des Giants” was published by Actes-Sud, Paris. Albert is the art director of the International Jazz Festival in Vientiane, Laos.
