Alejandra Regalado was born in Mexico City. Currently she lives and works between the US and Mexico. She has been awarded with the Individual Artist Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts. She is the First Place Professional Photographer at Festival Internacional de la Imagen, Mexico. Alejandra has been an artist in residence of the Galería de la Raza, San Francisco and the National Museum of Mexican Art, Chicago. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Mexico and the U.S. : CUE Arts Foundation, En Foco-Teatro Pregones, Soho Photo Gallery, New York; Houston Center for Photography and Foto Fest, Houston; Mexican-American Cultural Center, Austin; Mexican Consulates in San Jose and New York, Boise State University, Boise; Galería de la Raza, San Francisco; National Museum of Mexican Art, Chicago; Autonomus University of the State of Hidalgo, Pachuca, Mexico.
