Born in 1974 in Interlaken (Switzerland) as son of Italian immigrants, Alessandro Pelizzari has a PhD in sociology. He was head of the Geneva office of the Swiss union for construction, industrial and private services workers. He now works at Lausanne University for Applied Studies. He started photography during a trip through Latin America in 2014 and enjoys street photography since then as a hobby.
