Born in Bologna (Italy), Alessandro Zanini graduated in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Bologna.
He was involved in international cooperation projects in West Africa, implementing communication strategies for health education and training courses for local photographers and videomakers.
He has worked as Director and Director of photography on many video and documentary productions.
He is currently working for a public institution in Bologna, researching on public social policies.
Also he is developing photographic projects and publications on documentary and social photography.
