About Alex Cabrera

Alex Cabrera (Veracruz, Mexico, 1988)

Master in Photography and Visual Studies from the ADM Center in Mexico City and Bachelor of Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Puebla.

Selected in the PhotoVogue Panorama Latin America 2024 call, the Enfoque Conecta Platform in Colombia 2023, winner of the New Talents POY LATAM 2023 award, selected in the XIV Art Biennial “Puebla de los Ángeles”, Puebla, Mexico 2023 and in the XIX Biennial of Photography of the CDMX 2021 Image Center.

He has participated in individual and group exhibitions in Mexico, France, the United States, Colombia, Spain, Argentina and Uruguay, among which The Coup de Coeur Projection, La Vie en Bleu, Nice, France (2024), Marea Rosa, Dama Gallery, Ventura, California, USA (2024), Latinoamérica Conecta, Bogotá, Colombia (2023), Manners Maketh Man de Sí Gallery, Austin, Texas, USA (2023) and The Future is Queer: Dissidence, Art Gallery Studios, Mexico City (2022).

He has also published his work in different print and digital media such as the magazine The Bureau of queer art #4 of Art Gallery Studios of Mexico (2024), the PlaPF Photographic Thought Platform of Colombia (2024) and the magazine Ampolleta Ro
