Alexander L. Newman is a self-taught, multi-award-winning wilderness, street, and fine art photographer living in Jefferson, Maine, USA. He uses photography as a tool to capture and share the passion he has for the beauty, emotion, and nuance he sees within all aspects of nature and life. Alexander’s approach to photography is about seeking out, discovering, and catching authentic and spontaneous moments with minimal post-editing; not creating staged scenes and visuals.
Since January 2018, he has been the recipient of multiple awards from the International Photography Awards, Monochrome Photography Awards, Monovisions Photography Awards, and Fine Art Photography Awards contests, and his photographs were recently featured published in the Photography Masterclass Magazine April 2019 Issue #76, and Photographize Monochrome Magazine March 2019 Issue #2. One of his award-winning landscape photographs was selected for inclusion in the 2018 Monochrome Awards Annual Book, published in March 2019. His photography has been exhibited in galleries in Milan, Rome, Florence, London, Innsbruck, and Cannes.
