About Alexander Norman

My name is Alexander Norman. I’m a 22-year-old visual artist from Cornwall, currently based in the UK. I studied at Falmouth University, where I developed a practice rooted in experimental photography, using abstraction and digital layering to explore themes of introspection, emotional states, and memory.

My work often reflects a desire to blur the line between reality and imagination, drawing on psychological landscapes and symbolic materials to construct immersive visual narratives. I use texture, light, and metaphor as a way of translating internal experience into visual form.

Driven by a fascination with the subconscious, I approach image-making as a means of emotional excavation—inviting viewers into spaces that feel at once intimate and otherworldly. Each piece functions like a portal, not to a fixed story, but to a sensation—something half-remembered or yet to be felt.
