About Alexander Pietz

I am German and a photographer for more than 40 years, since my father gave me my first SLR, when I was 14 years old. I have a "day job" to pay the mortgage, but my true passion was always photography. I went through all stages and used all kinds of equipment, including dark room work. Today I am very attracted to conscious photo shootings, using my Leica M1o and Leica Monochrom. Furthermore I shoot middle format film with a Hasselblad and a Fujifilm GFX100 as well as large format with a Linhof Technikardan and M679cs and a Linhof Kardan GT. In Shanghai I also have a studio, shooting people, portraits and fashion.
