About Alexandra Caroline Clement

I was brought up in Schaffhausen, a cosy little town in Switzerland. Since I got my first camera at the age of 7, I have never stopped looking at our world through this lenses. Taking pictures is my way of remembering all the beauty that surrounds us. And I do believe that pausing and taking the time to build a "stone of remembrance" is very well worth a thing to do. I traveled a lot and lived in several places- and I had the privilege to listen to a lot of stories.
I love to accompany people. A Portrait to me is more than a moment in time. It's taking the time to listen and out of listening being able to capture a moment in time.
In my work I'm interested in movement, in stillness and in natural ease.
