Alison was born in Glasgow, Scotland and studied textile design and printmaking at Glasgow School of Art. She has exhibited her paintings in numerous group shows in the UK and USA and many solo shows in London, Los Angeles and Orange County. She has lived in California for the last 22 years, raising 6 children, and is currently painting full time from her studio in Palm Desert. She gained an MFA in figurative painting in 2009. Her work has evolved over the last few years, much more abstract, exploring her obsession with color and textures and the ability to externalization passion, joy, feminism, culture and the inconsistencies in society.
