Born in London of Italian parents, I moved to Rome and attended art school there as a teenager. I started taking photographs in the mid 70s. Some of my first photographs were portraits of American "Avantgarde" composer Alvin Curran. After art school I worked at Cinecitta' film studio before returning to London in 1978 to become a photographer full time. I operated out of a studio near Hammersmith Broadway. I also did some newspaper and magazine work during those years. I had a twenty year sabbatical from photography between 1983 and 2003. In that time I ran a business tuning motorcycle engines and running a factory sponsored race team. It was always my intention to return to photography full time, which I did in 2014 after closing my business and selling my house and most of my possessions to travel. I am currently having my website updated to feature my Rome photographs from 1978 in their 40th anniversary year. I am planning exhibitions and print sales for later in the year.
