I have always had an interest in photography, I took my first photo at a family wedding at the age of 4 and I was given my first SLR film camera for my 18th birthday which led to a Degree in Photography. I began in the dark room with 35mm, medium format and large format cameras; it was only in my last year studying that I began using digital. I am glad I had the opportunity to learn film and the darkroom before digital, I learned so much about colour, contrast, composition; how to print and how to use the camera correctly and get the best from it, not been able to see your results till you develop the film makes you really think about what your trying to achieve.
I am currently studying an MA in photography and visual communication.
