A native of South Georgia, Anna Norton received her MFA in photography from Tyler School of Art and her BA in anthropology from Tulane University.
Norton’s work deals with her relationship to place as experienced through time. She exhibits in solo and group shows regionally and throughout the US, including a site-specific video installation called Living Space at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. A selection of her video stills is published in Elements of Photography by Angela L Faris-Belt, and her video work is published in Rebekah Modrak’s Reframing Photography with companion website as well as Aspect: The Chronicle of New Media Art.
Norton now lives in Western North Carolina where she continues her photography and videography, as well as her work as an educator and graphic designer.
