Born in Catania, Sicily, on April 3, 1972. Studied Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths' College and at SOAS, in London, UK. Since 1998 works as a cameraman for Reuters, based in Rome. For Reuters has covered conflicts in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Gaza and Lebanon, the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami in Indonesia, the Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia, the migration crisis in Europe, the death of Pope John Paul II, the election of Pope Benedict and Pope Francis and several papal trips. Lives in Rome with Sara and their son, Martino.
