Antonio Peinado is a Spanish fine art and portrait photographer. Born in Andújar, Andalusia, in summer of 1963 where he spent his childhood and adolescence until at the beginning of 1980 when he settled in Pamplona.
Since childhood, he has had a great love of photography and, at the age of 15, he begins to read and to be trained in photography in a self-taught way, with more and more passion.
In spite of his early love for photography, he does not study formal studies in Art. In his place he obtains the Degree in Pharmacy in the University of Navarra and for several years dedicates to give training and to the teaching. Simultaneously he studies in Engineering at the public university of Navarra.
For several years he has been involved in consultancy in construction companies, promoters and care for the elderly, in which he also carries out training activities for the workers.
In 2006 he decided to dedicate himself completely to his passion: photography. It begins with a commercial photograph for companies, advertising agencies and private assignments. He also devotes part of his time to teaching photography to students of University Studies at the Navarra School of Design CreaNavarra. Despite dedicating himself to photography, he does not feel realized as an artist, so in 2013 he gives a turn to his career as a photographer to dedicate himself more intensely to his personal work.
This change allows him to obtain numerous international awards / recognitions and distinctions for his work. Proof of this is the recently achieved QEP distinction, one of the most prestigious international awards granted by the FEP or the distinction of Best Spanish Photographer of the Year in Illustrative Art awarded by the FEPFI in 2016.
At present he continues to reside in Pamplona and devotes his time to his family and his work.
