About Anuj Arora

Anuj Arora is an independent photographer based in New Delhi, India. In
his photographic practice, Anuj explores themes of identity, community,
migration and belonging. His long-term project Unsettled Identities
documents the lives of the displaced Rohingya refugees in Delhi; the work
was recently published in the latest issue of PIX, titled Passages.
 
Anuj’s work has been exhibited by Prameya Art Foundation as part of
PRAF Discover; he was a finalist of TOTO Photography Award 2020; he
won third position in POY Asia under the Covid Expressions category for
his work Portrait of my Mother; he was a participant of Missouri Photo
Workshop Hometown Edition 2021. Anuj’s work has been published by
various national newspapers such as The Hindu, Deccan Herald and Indian
Express, amongst others.
 
Before pursuing photography full-time, Anuj worked as a visual designer
for three years. Anuj has a post-graduate diploma in photography from Sri
Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication, where he was mentored
by photographer and educator, Bharat Choudhary. 
Presently, he is visiting faculty at Sri Aurobindo centre for arts and
