My mother is an artist and my father is a career firefighter. Photography for me combines the best of that heritage - artistic vision, hard work, courage, empathy - on my best days those all come together.
I've been into art and expression my whole life but didn't seriously pick up a camera until my daughter was a newborn in early 2012. I became obsessed with it and embarked on a self-made photography crash course- I read and watched everything I could find and of course took tons of photos. My overarching goal for my photography is to not shy away from anything but the mundane.
