These images are a sample from a series of self-portraits I created entitled, “Double Je.”
Produced over the course of 5 years, these photographs speak of my identity and the difficulty we all have of being who we really are.
I play.
In color, with my body, my family and with those around me. I create layouts, surreal scenes, the precise definition and careful light.
In all cases, the photo is talking about me.
I play.
With myself, with my models—but my rules are very personal. She speaks of confinement, choking, the urge to escape, the relationship alive. I wonder about death…
I play. A double game ?
Rather, a double writing with an obsession. This is integral between the two approaches: that of my identity and the fundamental question of “I.”
