This project explores the borders between urban and wild nature around the Bolderaja district on the outskirts of Riga. After World War II, the fishing villages built on the dunes were replaced with blockhouses and some of Bolderaja's parts became closed military areas.

Now, 23 years later, the area's predominantly Russian-speaking population is still haunted by shadows of a Soviet past.
