Semengoh Orangutan sanctuary is near to Kurching in Borneo. It is a large area of forest and the 35 Orangutans that live there are semi-wild and come to the feeding area two times a day for their bananas and coconuts.

These photos were taken with an Infrared camera which gave an ethereal, almost "abominable snowman" look to the Orangutans as well as revealing a certain vulnerability and grace.
