The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
—Marcel Proust

Ekin Kucuk has been photographing for a long time. Well, perhaps just 10 years—but as her family is filled with photographers, the medium has always been present in her life.

Born in Adana, Turkey, she currently lives in Istanbul. But despite having spent all of these years in her home country, she finds herself traveling often—physically as well as mentally. Indeed, traveling is essential to Kucuk’s way of life. In her words, “My mother’s vision was to show me the world—she took me everywhere she went.”

The above photographs come from Kucuk’s travels in Gallipoli, Istanbul, Venice and Paris.
