The photos here have all been brazenly tampered with in one way or another. Most images, though not all, were created digitally, and draw on my huge collection of anonymous photographs and vintage postcards.

I find that I am seldom interested in a photograph, new or old, if it doesn’t have a face in it. We learn to tell our own life-narratives through the faces that we have seen and remember forever afterwards.

Faces are life itself, and each one has an uncanny story to tell.
